"Pump Busters: The 20 Best Cars With The Best Mileage," by Forbes.com Lifestyle Senior Editor Michael Frank, features vehicles in 13 different categories. Here are some of his hottest picks:

-- The Audi TT leads the pack among Sports Cars (under $40K) delivering 29 miles per gallon (mpg) on the highway. It has perhaps the best styling of any car to come along in decades as well.
-- The Porsche Boxster S will get you better than 20 mpg either in the city or on the highway. Beating out the Chevrolet Corvette, it is our winner among Sports Cars ($40K-$60K).
-- The Volkswagen Jetta and the Volkswagen Golf TDI rule the road if you are looking for Small Sedans. With gas mileage of 42 mpg in the city and 49 mpg on the highway - you're sure to save a bundle.
-- The Infiniti Q45 and the Lexus LS 430 are neck and neck among Large Sedans ($40K-$70K). Each of these offer great handling and a very roomy, beautifully detailed cabin with gas mileage near 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
-- The Honda Odyssey is tops in the Minivans class. It's got room for camping gear, golf clubs, or a rugged mountain bike. And it will get you 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
-- The Toyota RAV4 has many rivals among Compact SUVs but came away with the prize. It will get you 23 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
