Millennium Fuels Corp Develops a High-Octane Fuel

SAN DIEGO--(BW SportsWire)--June 11th, 2001--BAT International, Inc. announced that its partially owned subsidiary company -- Dolphin Automobile Company, Inc. (Dolphin ACI) -- has signed a contract with Millennium Fuels Corporation (MFC) to supply Dolphin ACI's proprietary additive package for use in MFC's new high-octane, high-performance, environmentally friendly, ethanol based racing fuel. MFC has been working with Dolphin ACI to complete the development of a high performance racing fuel that utilizes Dolphin ACI's additive package that increases octane, adds lubricity and improves combustion.
The formulation was dynamometer tested and involved side-by-side engine tests that compared MFC's new racing fuel with other leading widely used racing fuels. Additional field-testing involved the use of the fuel under controlled track conditions. In every test, MFC's ethanol racing fuel produced greater horsepower and torque than competing fuels.
Dolphin ACI also completed dyno and field tests on its product in January and February 2001 using a hill climbing engine and racecar. Independent testing by Leonard Arnold also confirmed very similar, impressive dyno results (see press release dated April 4th, 2001).
Based on the results of dyno and field tests, the Legends Car Series decided to use the MFC's racing fuel as its fuel of choice. The Legends Car Series consists of 4,500 vehicles competing on 238 tracks across the USA with an estimated annual fuel usage of 800,000 gallons. Initial shipments of the new racing fuel are currently being delivered. For more information about the Legends Car Series visit their Web site at www.600racing.com.
MFC is the title sponsor for the Legends Car Series beginning in 2001. For the first time in several years, Legends Car drivers will be competing for an additional $100,000 in cash and prizes, thanks to MFC's Fuel Point Fund.
A May 2001 article in 600 Racing, "The Magazine" provides further information about the MFC racing fuel and responses from industry evaluation. "The racing industry has continued to rely on leaded fuel to achieve desired performance levels. The EPA has allowed the use of lead in off-street applications but has also expressed the goal of eliminating the lead in all fuels. An alternative is needed and MFC is developing a full line of renewable resources based on unleaded fuels. The Legends Car Series fuel is the first full production, unleaded, MTBE-free fuel in the MFC product line. Performance results on dyno testing have indicated a superior performance without lead."
Both Dolphin ACI and MFC are interested in using the racing industry test arena to expand the use of cleaner renewable fuels in all gasoline and diesel fuels. As stated in the same magazine article they note that MFC's "Initial efforts of the company were directed toward development of an octane enhancing additive for use in manufacturing conventional gasoline. The ban on MTBE in California as the principal octane source in gasoline and its presence as a pollutant in ground water across America has caused the industry to actively seek alternatives. MFC's research is continuing on its "Super Ethanol" product to contribute to an industry wide effort to replace MTBE and meet ever increasing demands for a cleaner, more environmentally friendly fuel."
Both Dolphin ACI and MFC's Management are dedicated to production of advanced renewable clean fuels to replace fossil fuel usage.
