Sense Technologies: Guardian Alert Backup Warning System Debuts

OMAHA, Neb.--June 26, 2001--Sense Technologies Inc. , with worldwide manufacturing and marketing rights to the Guardian Alert(TM) microwave radar backup warning device, today announced that S&S Distributing LLC's newly approved master distributor, FleetPride, the nation's largest independent heavy-duty parts distributing company, with more than 160 store locations across 33 states, is launching the Guardian Alert(TM) Backup Warning System at the International Truck Show (ITS) in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 27-29 and at the California Association of School Bus Operators Workshop (CASBO) in Tahoe, California on June 28 and 29.
With over 700 exhibitors and a half million square feet of exhibit space, the International Trucking Show is celebrating its 40th anniversary as one of the largest expositions in North America, one that receives substantial broadcast and print media coverage and attracts more than 23,000 qualified buyers for Class III-VII trucks.
"The International Truck Show is the perfect venue for FleetPride to launch the Guardian Alert(TM) Backup Warning System," said Rick Jeffries, Vice President, General Manager, FleetPride. "Our mission is to provide expert service and new products to meet the needs of the commercial vehicle market. The launching of the Guardian Alert(TM) Backup Warning System represents a unique opportunity for us to promote a key partnership and provide new safety technology that will meet the needs of our customers," he added.
"The CASBO Workshop is an annual event for FleetPride where we have the opportunity to interact with school bus operators from more than 300 districts throughout California, Nevada and Oregon," said Jeffries.
"I'm looking forward to working alongside the FleetPride crew this week, demonstrating our recently released tractor-trailer mount to such a well targeted audience before moving on to Tahoe, California for the California Association of School Bus Operators Workshop," said John Kraus, Senior Executive Vice President Sales, S&S Distributing, LLC. "The launching of the Guardian Alert(TM) at two concurrent shows in two distinct markets is great for momentum," he added.
S&S Distributing LLC's modular system design provides the necessary flexibility to accommodate the numerous back end designs of all commercial vehicles. Their Tractor-Trailer Mount (Model TT202) allows fluid application for both the Low Profile Industrial Mount (Model 1700) and the Ultra Slim Guarded Mount (Model 1900).
The system installs easily and adapts with a 60 ft. trailer extension and coil cable for external wiring on older tractor trailers and also provides for clean integration with new tractor trailer technology, making operating safety attainable for virtually any such vehicle.
"Sense Technologies Inc. is pleased with the alliance created by S&S Distributing LLC and FleetPride," said Bruce Schreiner, Director of Sense Technologies Inc. "The launch of the Guardian Alert(TM) Backup Warning System at these important venues for FleetPride underscores their enthusiasm for the product and demonstrates their significant net-working capabilities. We urge any of our shareholders who can attend the International Truck Show, which is open to the public, to observe first-hand the developments in application design which utilize the Guardian Alert(TM) technology."
The FleetPride exhibit can be found in booths 1358-1360 at the International Truck Show in the Las Vegas Convention Center from 10 am to 5 pm, June 27-29, 2001.
