Lexus Announces Prices for Certain 2002 Model Vehicles

TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 6 Lexus today announced prices on

convertible, GS 300/430 high-performance luxury sedans, and RX 300 mid-sized
sport utility vehicle.

Lexus' flagship LS 430, which is the best-selling luxury sedan in its
class, will have a 0.37 percent price increase of $200 for a Manufacturer's
Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $54,405. For 2002, the LS 430 is available
in an additional color, Platinum Blue Metallic.

The SC 430 hardtop convertible debuted in March as a 2002 model.
Beginning with September production, the price will increase 1.0 percent, or
$600. Additionally, due to the popularity of the optional Lexus Navigation
System, it will become standard equipment, bringing the MSRP for the SC 430 to
$61,055.

The GS 300/430 high-performance luxury sedans receive no price increase
for 2002. The MSRPs for the GS 300 and GS 430 will remain at $38,605 and
$47,405 respectively.

Lexus' trend-setting RX 300 continues to sell extremely well as customers
look for a vehicle that combines the functionality of an SUV with the comfort
and convenience of a luxury sedan. For 2002, the MSRP for the RX 300 will not
increase, continuing at $33,955 for the front-wheel-drive model and $35,705
for the all-wheel-drive model.

Prices for the 2002 IS 300 compact sport sedan were recently announced.
The MSRP for the IS 300 E-Shift model will remain at the 2001 level of
$30,805. New for 2002 is the 5-speed manual version, which has an MSRP of
$29,435, and the IS 300 SportCross with an MSRP of $32,305.

The delivery, processing and handling fee for the IS 300 will remain at
$545. For the other models, the fee will increase $30 to $575. This change
will be effective Sept. 1 for the SC 430 and will become effective for all
other 2002 models as they are introduced.
