Visteon Partners With Victory Motorcycles To Develop Touring Cruiser

    DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 17 Visteon Corporation
today announced that it has co-developed a high-tech touring concept
motorcycle with the Victory Motorcycle Division of Polaris Industries, Inc.
.  The "Vision" is the result of Victory's expertise in design and
engineering combined with Visteon's long-history of automotive leadership in
technology and systems integration.

    The Vision concept touring cruiser leverages the strengths of both Victory
and Visteon -- providing important benefits for both companies.  Under terms
of the agreement, Visteon will be able to feature innovative products and
technologies on a non-automotive platform.  Victory Motorcycles will gain
access to system solutions that can significantly enhance the overall riding
experience previously not found in motorcycles.

    "The Vision concept motorcycle has allowed both Visteon and Victory to
explore new technology and design applications, which in turn offer the
consumer an increased level of personalization," said John Kill, Vice
President of Product Development, Visteon.  "This collaboration allows us to
further demonstrate our expertise as a systems integrator."

sophisticated and have higher expectations of their riding experience," said

Vision concept cruiser will help demonstrate that we can meet these needs with
a rational application of both Visteon's innovative technology and Victory's
advanced design."

    Several Visteon products and technologies have been incorporated into the
design of the Vision, including:

    *  Navigation System - Offers turn-by-turn navigation assistance and
features CD-ROM based digital maps and voice directions.

    *  Visteon Fingerprint Identification System - A high-tech security and
starting system, which uses an individual's fingerprint scan to secure access
to compartments, ignition functions and other personalized features.

    *  Remote Lighting System - Designed to increase styling and package
flexibility and reduce package depth.  The Remote Lighting System is a more
efficient means of providing HID lighting, since the light source is mounted
away from the headlamp and uses fiber optic cables to transmit light to both
headlamps.
 
    *  High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lighting System and Turn Signals - This
front lighting system uses a Xenon gas light source and a ballast for each
lamp to better illuminate the road, resulting in better vision for all-weather
driving, while consuming less power.

    *  Light Emitting Diode (LED) System - Visteon's Indirect Reflector LED
System has a unique styling appearance that consumes only a fraction of the
power of traditional incandescent lamps, while offering package flexibility
and life-of-vehicle illumination.

    *  Visteon Engine Control Module - Designed to suit a multitude of vehicle
propulsion and power generation applications as well as to improve and
optimize engine performance, emissions and fuel economy.

    *  Visteon Ignition Coils and Leads - Improve packaging and offer greater
application flexibility by providing energy to each spark plug, eliminating
the need for high-tension ignition wires.
