Audi of America Sponsors the Second Annual Las Vegas Odyssey

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 14 -- Audi of America, Inc. is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2001 Las Vegas Odyssey -- a prestigious celebration of wine, food and art November 15-18.

Audi presents the Second Annual Las Vegas Odyssey, offering ten epicurean events at fine restaurants and world-class resorts around town. There will be wine tastings presented by master sommeliers and esteemed winemakers like Beringer, J. Lohr and Niebaum Coppola; cooking demonstrations by five-star chefs including Julian Serrano of Picasso in Bellagio; and enchanting dinners prepared by impressive chefs like Joe Romano of Aureole and Robert Kirchoff of Lutece. Participating restaurants include the top three selections by Zagats.

The centerpiece is the Masters Dinner, Live Auction and Celebration at The Venetian Resort & Casino where ten celebrity chefs team up to prepare an incomparable five-course dinner with wines paired by renowned vintners. Dave Reynolds will conduct a live auction featuring collector edition bottles of wine and luxury lifestyle lots. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Las Vegas affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

``Audi is proud to be partnered with an event that touches on lifestyles,'' stated Audi Event Marketing Manager Maria Nahigian. ``This gourmet food and wine festival embraces the emotional tastes and senses of the attendees. We enjoy participating in non-traditional events that allow us to showcase our cars in an environment that is fun and inviting.''

``We are pleased to have an innovative automotive company like Audi as our major corporate sponsor,'' says event creator Virginia Thompson. ``Audi features an exciting line of vehicles that align well with the event's stylish audience,'' adds Thompson.
