Ford Extends Zero-Percent and Low-Interest Financing

DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 14 -- Ford has extended zero- percent financing on 36-month contracts for most 2001 and 2002 Ford brand cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans through Jan. 14, 2002. Low-interest rates also are being offered on longer-term contracts.

``We are extending our program to keep our dealers competitive and sales strong in an increasingly aggressive market,'' said Jim O'Connor, Ford Division president.

Effective Nov. 21, 2001, car and truck interest rates will be offered at 0.0 to 3.9 percent, depending on the length of the contract. 2002 car and truck interest rates will be 0.0 to 5.9 percent.

Due to an overwhelming customer response to the zero-percent financing offer, the program is being extended in lieu of other previously planned marketing programs.

The program continues to exclude the Thunderbird and Escape. As an alternative to the financing option, consumers can choose the current cash back or leasing options being offered.
