Crown Group, Inc. Changes Name to ``America's Car-Mart, Inc.''

    IRVING, Texas--March 28, 2002--Crown Group, Inc. today announced that the Company's name has now been changed to "America's Car-Mart, Inc." The name change was made in connection with the Company's recently announced strategy of focusing exclusively on its highly successful automotive sales and finance subsidiary in Arkansas.
    As a result of the name change, the Company's common stock will begin trading under the symbol "CRMT" on Monday, April 1st. The name change will not affect outstanding stock certificates, and all existing Crown Group stock certificates will remain valid. Accordingly, shareholders are not required to exchange existing Crown Group stock certificates for new certificates reflecting the name change.

    The Company operates 55 automotive dealerships in seven states and is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States focused exclusively on the "Buy Here/Pay Here" segment of the used car market. The Company operates its dealerships primarily in small cities and rural locations throughout the South-Central United States, selling quality used vehicles and providing financing for substantially all of its customers.
    The Company also owns interests in two subsidiaries that are held for sale and are included in discontinued operations. These subsidiaries include (i) an 80% interest in Concorde Acceptance Corporation, a prime and sub-prime mortgage lender; and (ii) a 50% interest in Precision IBC, Inc., a firm specializing in the sale and rental of intermediate bulk containers.
