Ford Motor Company Announces Special Rebate For Educators in the Month of May

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 1 -- The month of May 2002 has been designated Teacher Appreciation Month by Governor Michael S. Easley of North Carolina. Also recognizing the exemplary commitment of teachers in the State, Ford Motor Company, in conjunction with the Carolina Ford Dealers Advertising Association, today announced a special program to offer educators in North and South Carolina a special new car purchase incentive in support of Teacher Appreciation Month. This is the third year Ford Motor Company and the Carolina Ford Dealers have supported this program.

All Certified Full-time Public or Private K-12 Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Principals, Headmasters, Assistant Principals, Assistant Headmasters or Counselors who reside and teach in North or South Carolina, effective January 31, 2002, are eligible.

Mr. Tim Michael, Chairman of the Carolina Ford Dealers commented, "It's an opportunity for us to show our sincere appreciation to our dedicated teachers who are helping shape the future of the Carolinas."

The Carolina Ford Dealers Advertising Association is comprised of a network of 173 retail dealers throughout North and South Carolina and governed by a board of directors. The board includes dealer representatives from each of the nine Dominate Market Areas in the Carolinas
