Raybestos Signs Indy Driver Sarah Fisher For 500 Ride

MCHENRY, Ill., May 8 -- Brake Parts Inc., manufacturer of Raybestos®Brand Brakes, today announced a four-year sponsorship agreement with Indy Car driver Sarah Fisher.

Fisher will be featured in Raybestos' national television advertising, point-of-purchase sales materials, print advertising and promotional appearances. Raybestos will also have logo presence on her helmet, uniform and car.

"Sarah Fisher will be an important part of Raybestos' campaign to promote quality brake systems, brake safety and regular brake maintenance," said Tom O'Brien, Vice-President of Marketing. "These are important messages which Raybestos and Sarah will convey in tandem to the driving public."

Fisher announced today at a press conference in Indianapolis that she will compete in this year's Indianapolis 500. Raybestos will become one of four initial sponsors to support her return to the Indy Racing League and the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Fisher's primary sponsor is Allegra, while Purex and ATA are associate sponsors along with Raybestos.

"Raybestos is one of the premier names in automotive parts and I am honored to be affiliated with their products," said Fisher. "I strongly support their efforts to make the public aware of the need for quality brakes systems and regular maintenance which are vitally important to brake safety."

Raybestos has been associated with the Indianapolis 500 since 1957, sponsoring various awards and begins its 100th year as the leading brand in premium brake system components.

Fisher's debut in 1999 gave her the distinction as the youngest driver (19) to ever compete in an IRL event when she entered the Mall.com 500 in Texas. In 2001, Fisher recorded a second-place finish in the Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami - the highest a female driver has ever placed in an Indy-style race. She earned a fourth place finish at Nazareth this season and pushed her career earnings to more than $1 million.
