Mayor Hahn, Steve Soboroff to Announce Precedent-setting Electric Vehicle Program At Playa Vista

What:    Playa Vista is creating a zero-emission mobility program for 
         its residents and business tenants. The program will include 
         a mix of neighborhood electric vehicles, trams and utility
         vehicles, and a precedent-setting electric vehicle "share 
         car" program for use throughout the Southern California 
         region. Playa Vista will announce the selection of its 
         "Mobility Dream Team" comprised of one of the world's premier
         vehicle manufacturers, lead share car companies and top 
         transportation planners.

When:    Wednesday, May 29, 2002
         10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
         Media will have the opportunity to test drive the vehicles 
         from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where:   The Visitor Center at Playa Vista
         Enter on Jefferson Boulevard just east of Lincoln.

Visuals: Several neighborhood electric vehicles will be on display.  
         Media will be encouraged to test drive the vehicles.
