Way To Go America! GM to Keep N.J. Plant an Extra Year
DETROIT AP has reported that General Motors Corp.'s Linden, N.J. truck plant has at least a one year reprieve, the automaker said Monday.
Strong sales of the Chevrolet S-10 pickup and Blazer will keep the plant open until at least the third quarter of 2005, GM spokesman Pat Morrissey said.
The plant, which employs 1,500 workers on one shift, was to have closed in the third quarter of 2004, Morrissey said.
