DETROIT--June 26, 2002--AutoWeek recently tabulated results of its 13th Annual "America's Best" Survey, conducted entirely online this year at www.autoweek.com.

The survey allowed respondents the opportunity to actively participate and voice their opinion on their favorite cars, trucks and sport-utility vehicles.

The list for the America's Best winners includes:

Best Luxury Car: Mercedes-Benz S

Class Best Sports Car: Chevrolet Corvette

Best SedanBMW 3-Series

Best Coupe: BMW MCoupe

Best Sports Sedan: BMW M5

Best People Mover: Honda Odyssey

Best Economy Car: Honda Civic

Best Off-Road Vehicle: Land Rover Range Rover

Best Pick-up Truck: Ford F-150 SVT Lightning

Best Exotic Sports Car: Ferrari 575M

AutoWeek created the 24-question survey to allow the voters to identify their most preferred make/model for cars, trucks and SUV's. More than 7000 people responded to the "America's Best" survey entirely online, which ran from May 16th through June 6th.

"AutoWeek readers never fail to impress me," Dutch Mandel, editor and associate publisher, said. "Their in-depth and passionate knowledge of the car world is second to none while their savvy -- call it real street smarts -- is uncanny in its clarity."

"Although this was our first time conducting the survey online, I believe it will not be our last, because the information gathered from the voters is very valuable and really matters," added Mike Floyd, AutoWeek Online Editor.

The survey results will be the basis of a feature story in the July 1 issue of AutoWeek. Results will also be available online at www.autoweek.com beginning July 1, 2002.
