MINI in Austin Powers 3 on the cinema screen. Munich. For the third part of the spy comedy "Austin Powers", entitled "Goldmember", the writer and star of the film Mike Meyers has chosen MINI. The BMW Group provided the Hollywood studio New Line Cinema with a total of six red MINI Coopers for filming. Mike Meyers himself was personally involved in their transformation into "Austin Powers" espionage vehicles - the result will be on show in cinemas shortly.

The international start date for the film is July 26th 2002 - when the film will be released simultaneously in the US and Great Britain. In subsequent months, "Goldmember" with the MINI espionage car will then be released in cinemas throughout the world.

For the international MINI marketing team led by Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Head of MINI Brand Leadership and Product Management, this project represents the first contact between the new cult car and the Hollywood dream factory. "After this entry role, we are very much looking forward to MINI's continuing Hollywood career."
