First 2003 Nissan 350Z(TM) - VIN #0000001 - to be Available on eBay Motors; All Proceeds Will Benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 19 -- Nissan North America, Inc., (NNA) today announced that the first 2003 Nissan 350Z(TM), VIN 0000001, will be available for bidding on eBay Motors. Nissan, in conjunction with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, will donate the winning bid amount to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the world's leading non-profit organization dedicated to identifying, funding and conducting pediatric AIDS research.

The event begins on eBay Motors on Monday, August 19th at 1:00 p.m. PDT and continues through Thursday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. PDT at www.ebay.com/z . Bidding for the 350Z starts at $30,000, and will increase in $100 increments.

"Not only is Nissan thrilled about the return of the Z®, we are proud that this legendary vehicle will allow us to give back to the community by supporting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation," said Steve Wilhite, vice president, marketing at NNA. The first 2003 Nissan 350Z(TM) is a Track Model, with a Silverstone exterior and Carbon-colored cloth interior, and has an MSRP of $37,513. Features include:

-- 287-horsepower, 3.5L DOHC V6 -- Close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission -- Brembo(R) four-wheel disc brakes -- 8-inch super-lightweight forged aluminum wheels -- DVD-based navigation system -- Side airbags and head curtains -- Aluminum kick plates -- Front and rear spoilers -- 0-60 in 5.4 seconds ("Car and Driver," August 2002)

On September 5th, the winning bidder will be flown to Los Angeles where they will be presented with the first new generation Z®. The winning bidder will also receive the limited-edition book titled "Lust, then Love: The Story of the New Z," autographed by the author, Ron Sessions, as well as by Yutaka Katayama -- known affectionately as "Mr. K" -- the father of the original Z®.
