American Suzuki Sales Are Up Six Percent Over August 2001
BREA, Calif., Sept. 4 -- Bolstered by strong Aerio sales, an industry-leading warranty and zero percent financing, American Suzuki sold 6,166 vehicles in August, a six percent increase over August 2001 sales. The Aerio sedan and SX, the small sedan and cross-over models that are redefining what consumers can expect from a small car are selling well with new levels of power, style, space and features not traditionally found in the small car class. Sales for Aerios this month rose to 1,987 -- a nine percent increase over last month, boosting total model sales to 8,336 vehicles since the model launch in March 2002. Aerio sales were also boosted by the addition of the new all-wheel drive (AWD) models, offered as an affordable $1,000 option on GS or SX trims. The AWD system ensures that all of the Aerio's powerful standard 145 horsepower is effectively put to the pavement, helping provide owners piece of mind when driving in inclement weather.
In addition to logging strong Aerio sales, Suzuki unveiled America's best warranty, the best powertrain limited warranty in the industry. Offered on all 2002 and 2003 models, the warranty covers seven years or 100,000 miles -- whichever comes first -- and provides Suzuki owners more than 14,000 miles of coverage per year. Suzuki's warranty has no deductibles, and most importantly, is transferable from owner to owner, which boosts value at time of trade-in or resale.
Adding to the appeal of America's best warranty is Suzuki's strong retail finance offer, zero-percent financing for up to five years combined with zero down payment on all 2002 and 2003 models and recently extended through September 30, 2002.
"Distinctive new product, America's best warranty and Suzuki's zero percent financing are being combined to give our buyers a great total ownership experience," said Rick Suzuki, American Suzuki President.
