DETROIT - General Motors Corp. today announced enhancements to its retail marketing programs on 2002 and 2003 model year vehicles. Effective today and continuing through October 31, GM is offering APR financing rates of 0.0% on terms up to 60 months for qualified buyers on the purchase of most new 2002 and 2003 GM passenger cars and minivans (see attached). In addition, customer cash is now available on 2002 and 2003 trucks. APR rates of 0.0/1.9/2.9% are also available on 2002 trucks and 0.0/2.9/3.9% APR financing will continue on 2003 models (see attached).
"We believe that this program will be very effective at bringing consumers into our showrooms to see our industry leading lineup of cars and trucks," said Bill Lovejoy, group vice president of GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. "Additionally, this enhancement is consistent with our strategy to offer consumers simple and compelling marketing programs, and will allow GM to continue to be aggressive in the marketplace."
GM divisions will use prominent national, regional and local marketing campaigns to communicate retail offers. National print, TV and radio advertising for the new program begins today. Regional and local dealer marketing group ads will follow.

EXPIRED 2002 program terms
The 2002 model year incentive program that ran from September 19 – September 30 included 0/0% APR financing for terms up to 60 months on all 2002 vehicles. Cash back offers were also available on all models in lieu of the APR program.
