Warn Adds 3000lb Capacity Winch to ATV Line-Up

    CLACKAMAS, Ore.--Oct. 23, 2002--Warn Industries announced today the release of its 3,000lb capacity ATV winch.
    The new WARN(R) 3.0ci winch, with innovative all-metal, sealed drive train and added controls, is designed for today's most rigorous conditions.

    With its winch drum centered to reduce chances of tire interference and provide a more streamlined appearance, the WARN 3.0ci fits into the same area as prior WARN winches. The .9 HP motor delivers the correct balance of speed, torque and power. As well, the gear train now incorporates Teflon(R)-coated bushings for less friction, greater efficiency and superior pulling strength.
    Eight sealed areas protect the winch from water and contaminant infiltration while steel alloy gear housing provides exceptional durability, strength and rigidity. The 3.0ci comes with a mini-rocker switch and multi-position mounting bracket for a universal fit and easy operation as well as a removable remote control (with 10' lead). These devices, which utilize Express Install(TM) color-coded wires, give the user instant response and control of the winch operation. Both are potted and sealed against the environment. The aluminum drum is also corrosion resistant and features the WARN cable retention system. This allows the user to change the cable in the field without any tools.
    The WARN 3.0ci winch kit includes a hand-held remote control, handlebar mounted mini-rocker switch, contactor, 6-gauge wiring, roller fairlead, hook with safety latch, hook strap and limited life-time warranty. Plus, all ATV winches come with the new ATV Winch Techniques manual.
