New GPS Vehicle Tracking Devices Could Put Private Dicks Out Of Business

SPOKANE, Wash., Oct. 29 -- The Spy Store, Inc. (http://www.thespystore.com) is making law enforcement-grade GPS vehicle monitoring technology available to concerned parents, suspicious spouses and anyone else in need of an extra pair of eyes. Released this week, the company's GPS-2 and GPS-10W vehicle tracking devices (http://www.thespystore.com/gps-usa.htm) make it easy and affordable to monitor a vehicle's activity and whereabouts.

Both units are weatherproof, battery-powered and motion-activated and can be magnetically attached to the underside of a vehicle; neither requires any monthly fees to operate. The GPS-2 records all vehicle activity, which can later be downloaded to a PC and viewed with the included street-level U.S. mapping software to pinpoint the vehicle's location during the recorded period of time.

The GPS-10W, on the other hand, sends real-time vehicle tracking data to the user's PC or laptop via a built-in GPS receiver and digital cellular modem, displaying a moving vehicle icon on the mapping software that corresponds with the movement of the monitored vehicle. The device sends updated location data every two seconds, making it a good choice for mobile vehicle surveillance.

"From monitoring a teen's vehicle usage to tracking the location of the company car, potential uses for the GPS-2 and the GPS-10W are nearly endless," said Jacob McKenna, president of The Spy Store, Inc. "Both devices can be mounted inconspicuously in seconds, making them ideal for law enforcement, investigative journalists, private investigators, parents and spouses, or government use."
