More Than 200,000 GM Vehicle Owners Join Online Service

HUMMER Brand Added to Owner Center at MyGMLink; 'MiGM' Debuts for GM de Mexico Customers

DETROIT - General Motors Web site for GM vehicle owners, the Owner Center at MyGMLink, has expanded to include HUMMER H2 customers in the U.S. and vehicle owners in Mexico.

Launched in January, the Owner Center at MyGMLink has registered more than 200,000 GM customers. The free service provides a single, comprehensive online resource for all of a GM product owner's needs, helping people get the most from their GM vehicles by housing all of their pertinent data and resources in one convenient place. For U.S. owners, the site can be found on the Web at www.mygmlink.com. It is also accessible via the "owners" links from GM's various brand sites, such as hummer.com.

GM has also expanded this service to customers in Mexico via the Web site "Centro de Control MiGM" (www.migm.com.mx), which made its debut in October. Mexican vehicle owners will find content and services that are specific to GM vehicles sold in the Mexican market.

"We know that more than 90 percent of a customer's experience with GM comes after they purchase or lease their car or truck. We want to make sure that this experience is a good one, and to help reinforce our customers' relationships with their dealers. The Owner Center at MyGMLink is a tool to help us achieve those goals," said Katherine Benoit, executive director, GM Customer Network.

The Owner Center at MyGMLink allows GM customers to get e-mail service reminders; access information about their specific GM vehicles, including owner's manuals, maintenance tips, and instructional video-clips; receive vehicle-specific recall notification online, and be eligible for special promotions and privileges which are only available online.

"GM gives customers more convenience, content and control than any other online ownership service, personalized to the car or truck they own, through the communications channel of their choice, including personal digital assistants (PDAs)," said Stu Dressler, GM global ownership program manager.

General Motors , the world's largest vehicle manufacturer, designs, builds and markets cars and trucks worldwide, and has been the global automotive sales leader since 1931. More information on GM can be found at www.gm.com.
