Fraser Expands Vehicle Donation Program

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 22, 2002 -- Do you own a vehicle that you're not using and may be interested in selling? Consider donating the vehicle to Fraser and receive an income tax deduction for its fair market value while helping to support children and adults with special needs at the same time.

Introducing this year's program with the headline: "write off the car ... not the kid," Fraser is embarking on its third year of accepting gifts of used vehicles as a means of generating additional operating revenue. The Fraser Vehicle Donation Program is easy to use: simply contact Fraser about your vehicle and you will receive information on its estimated fair market value along with a location where it can be dropped off. The vehicle will then be sold through a local auto auction, with Fraser retaining the proceeds from the sale, while you receive a gift acknowledgment receipt that can be used for income tax purposes. More importantly, you'll know that your donation is helping Fraser provide vital educational and rehabilitative services.

"This program is such a fantastic way for us to increase awareness about Fraser, as well as raise funds in a new way to help serve children, adults and families with special needs," said Diane Cross, CEO & President of Fraser. "The vehicle donation program is convenient, easy, and it gives the donor a tax deduction while providing much needed financial help for our organization -- it's truly a win-win situation for all of us!"

To donate a vehicle to Fraser, please call the car donation hotline: 612-798-8327. Fraser accepts cars that are 1990 or newer, are in drivable condition and have a current certificate of title. The revenues raised through the Fraser Vehicle Donation Program are applied to Fraser's annual general operating needs.
