Tweeter Home Entertainment Group Continues to Rock Car Stereo Competition Scene with SLAP Partnership

    CANTON, Mass.--Dec. 5, 2002--Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, the nation's premier specialty consumer electronics retailer, today announces its 2003 auto enthusiast event series sponsorship with Sound Looks and Performance Association or SLAP(TM).
    As the premier sponsor of SLAP, the company will host 39 events nationwide at its Tweeter and Sound Advice stores. This is the first year that SLAP will enter the highly competitive Florida market. Tweeter Home Entertainment Group is the parent company of Sound Advice, which dominates Florida car stereo sales.
    Auto enthusiasts can compete at these events to earn points towards qualification for the Sound Looks And Performance Championship event in the Fall of 2003.

    The Sound Look and Performance Association was formed to provide event-sanctioning standards and judging rules for three types of auto enthusiast events -- car shows, sound pressure level and sound quality competitions. These judging formats are known as SLAPshow-N-Shine(TM), SLAPdB(TM) and SLAPdBq(TM) respectively.
