CCM Student Designs Displayed At Michelin Challenge Design Display

DETROIT, Dec. 17 -- Four students from the College of Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit will have their designs on display alongside those of designers from 13 different countries at the 2003 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) as part of the Michelin Challenge Design(TM) display at Cobo Center. CCS Students in industrial and transportation design competed for scholarships and the right to have their works displayed at the NAIAS as part of the 14th Annual Michelin Design Competition for CCS students. The competition was based on vehicle designs with a French influence and a tire/wheel assembly based upon Michelin's PAX® System technology.

"Michelin is thrilled to support the efforts of these CCS students who have done such incredible work," said Tom Chubb, vice president of marketing, Michelin Automotive Industry Division. "The designs we reviewed were professionally presented and highly innovative. We look forward to many of these students becoming the top automotive designers for the next generation."

Michelin presented the first place winners with $1,250 scholarships. Second place winners received $1,000 scholarships and third place $750 scholarships.
