WANADA's 61st Showcase Celebrates 'Driving the Future'

WASHINGTON, Dec. 26, 2002; The 2003 Washington Auto Show will ring in the best and the brightest of the coming automotive year, unveiling eight acres of new cars, vans, SUVs and trucks at the Washington Convention Center from Dec. 26, 2002 until Jan. 1, 2003. Sponsored by the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA), this year's show is themed "Driving the Future" and promises to put the wish lists of hundreds of thousands of visitors into overdrive. Hot at the Washington Auto Show this year are the Ford Centennial Special Edition Package vehicles, 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV, Chrysler Crossfire, Pontiac Grand Prix G-Force, 2003 Dodge SRT-4, 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10, Saturn Ion Quad, James Bond T-Bird, and the Minority Report 2054 Lexus.

This 61st edition of the Washington Auto Show will bring 500 new makes and models to the public eye, showcasing the design and ingenuity of 37 domestic and import manufacturers. Long considered a holiday tradition and family favorite in the capital city, the show also features a host of consumer contests and promotions and a full slate of entertainment and celebrity guests for all ages.
