LIVE, FROM NY, ITS JEFF GORDON
HARRISBURG, N.C. - On January 11, 2003, four-time NASCAR Winston Cup
champion Jeff Gordon will venture into unchartered waters for a motorsports
driver and host NBC's Emmy Award-winning "Saturday Night Live."
Gordon, driver of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet on the NASCAR Winston Cup
circuit, jumped at the chance to host "SNL."
"What an honor to be given the chance to host the show," Gordon said. "It
should be a great experience, but I don't know what to expect. It will
probably be a lot like The Winston500; 90 minutes of controlled chaos."
"SNL" debuted in 1975 and is the brain child of its executive producer
Lorne Michaels.
