Energy & Engine Technology Corporation Announces Second Successful Test Of AXP 1000

PLANO, Texas, Jan. 10, 2003; Energy & Engine Technology Corporation announced that the Company has successfully completed its second test of its Auxiliary Power Generator -- "AXP 1000", on January 3, 2003. The unit was mounted on a truck and connected to the batteries and hvac unit, and a dedicated start mechanism was installed. The unit generated electricity in excess of that needed to charge the truck batteries and run the hvac system and other electronics inside the truck cab. The unit was installed in the unique mounting location sought, and installation brackets were designed and utilized which allow for truck vibration dampening.

Company management was very pleased with the smooth installation of the unit, which is installable in less than eight man hours. Unlike its competition, the AXP 1000 does not interact with any engine components in the truck; therefore, the integrity of truck engine systems is not compromised. Given the excess electricity generated, the unit is also capable of powering the truck engine's "cold start" application.

The AXP 1000 will be featured at the Mid-America Truck Show, to be held on March 20-23, 2003, in Louisville, Kentucky. The third AXP 1000 test will commence in the next few weeks under expanded operating conditions. There are three patents pending filed for the AXP 1000, and the Company will be filing a fourth in the near future.
