Chicago Auto Show to Host First ASNA Luncheon with M-B Performance Chief
CHICAGO, Feb. 6 -- The Chicago Auto Show's two-day media preview will feature a new addition with the Wednesday, Feb. 12 Auto Shows of North America (ASNA) luncheon in Room S105 of McCormick Place. The ASNA is a compendium organization of large and smaller auto shows across the continent whose mission is to better coordinate efforts of producers and exhibitors. "We are most fortunate to have arranged for the appearance of Dr. Ulrich Brunke, president of Mercedes-Benz AMG to speak at the luncheon," said Chicago Auto Show General Manager and ASNA founding member Jerry Cizek. "With as much industry activity as there is regarding performance, Dr. Ulrich's talk will be most appropriate." "While there is a large segment of the industry that is exploring new and innovative exploration of alternative fuels, the fact remains that the industry is consumer-driven -- and consumers are also demanding performance," continued Cizek. "As the head of Mercedes-Benz' top-end performance division, Ulrich's 'Ascension of Speed' perspective will be of particular interest to media visiting the nation's largest automotive exposition." In addition to the appearance of Dr. Ulrich, the American Institute of Architects will announce the winner of the Chicago Auto Show AIA Award for Design Excellence. The AIA award has been presented in Chicago for the past six years and honors the best of the incredible displays staged on the mammoth McCormick Place show floor. The ASNA luncheon will be held at noon, Feb. 12 in Room S105 of McCormick Place. For complete information about the 95th Chicago Auto Show, please visit ChicagoAutoShow.com/
