Microheat's HotShot Helps Travelers Brace For Winter Storms

One-Of-A-Kind Product Removes Ice Buildup On Windshield Glass and Wiper Blades

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Feb. 16 -- Drivers now have a safe and easy way to deal with winter storm driving with the introduction of the HotShot, a one-of-a-kind heated washer fluid system for windshields.

Manufactured by Microheat Inc., and launched at the 2003 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the HotShot integrates into any vehicle's standard wiper/washer system to rapidly heat washer fluid on demand without relying on engine heat. With the HotShot, drivers can sit in the comfort of their vehicle, and at the touch of a button, automatically clear their windshields.

"We're right in the middle of the winter storm driving season," said Emanuel Rosenzweig, vice president of marketing for Microheat. "The HotShot helps to reduce the stress drivers feel during a snowstorm when they can't see the road due to ice or snow buildup on their wiper blades or windshields," he continued. "It is our hope that the HotShot will increase the safety and comfort for all drivers coping with unpredictable winter driving conditions."

The HotShot is easy to install and can be done by drivers with basic mechanical ability or at any service station.

Microheat recently received a 2002 Editor's Choice Award by Popular Mechanics magazine for outstanding achievement in new product design and innovation.
