The 2003 Range Rover Presented With an 'All-Star' Award From Automobile Magazine

IRVINE, Calif., March 21 -- The 2003 Range Rover was named one of Automobile Magazine's "All Stars" in the March issue. The award itself was presented to Sally Eastwood, vice president of Marketing, Land Rover North America by Automobile Executive Editor, Mark Gillies at ceremonies held at the North American headquarters in Irvine, California. The 2003 Range Rover was recognized in the Large Sport-Utility Vehicle segment.

In the article, Automobile said, "There have been luxurious sport-utility vehicles before, but the Range Rover is the first SUV that represents a true alternative to a luxury sedan."

"Land Rover and our retail body are very pleased by this honor. It is third-party endorsements such as this that reinforce our belief that new Range Rover is the finest vehicle of its type in the world," said Eastwood.

The 2003 Range Rover has been virtually sold-out since its North American debut in June 2002. Its classic yet modern styling is instantly recognizable, but its new interior appointments have raised the bar for automotive design.

Land Rover North America is owned by Ford Motor Co. and is part of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover with headquarters in Irvine, CA.
