SAO PAULO May 27, 2003; Dow Jones reported that the Brazilian division of French car maker Renault SA (F.RNA) issued a recall Tuesday on some 7,000 vehicles after discovering that a faulty part in the fuel line could cause the motor to catch fire.
The problem was discovered in 2.0-liter Scenic models built in 2001 and 2002 as well as 2.0-liter Laguna models manufactured between 1999 and 2001.
