New York Auto Show: 46 Vehicle Debuts; Over One Million Visitors

NEW YORK, June 18 -- With 46 new vehicle announcements under its belt, the largest reported public attendance of any automobile show in the country, and media from every corner of the globe, the New York International Automobile Show has once again proved that the city that never sleeps has its eyes wide open when it comes to automobiles. New York City is the place where big things happen, and the New York International Automobile Show is no exception.

"An amazing 1,280,046 people visited the Show this year," said John LaSorsa, Chairman of the New York International Automobile Show. These attendance figures plus the fact that New York represents one of the largest car-buying markets in the country is proof that New Yorkers are the nation's number one car lovers."

"No other automotive event comes close to matching the diversity of individuals that make up the demographic of the New York Show's trade and public days. The business, consumer and lifestyle press, Wall Street's financial community, the marketing and advertisers of Madison Avenue, and the nation's largest and most diverse metropolitan population make for a unique Show that can not be replicated anywhere else in the world," he added.

"The number of major world and North American debuts reflects the importance that the industry attaches to the New York Auto Show," continued LaSorsa. "As the last major Show of the circuit, we are able to offer show goers every new vehicle that has been unveiled at earlier shows, as well as the nearly 50 new ones that made their debuts here," he concluded.
