WHY: Senior citizens are a growing segment of our population.
Currently, there are more than 2.7 million Texans age 60 or
older. By 2040, the senior population is projected to grow
by more than 8 million. Senior citizens are some of the
safest drivers on the road. After the age of 80, because of
physical frailty, crashes are more likely to cause injury
and death. AAA Texas is committed to both keeping seniors on
the road safely and increasing alternative transportation
          options for them.
