Volkswagen Reports August Sales - Best Month in 2003

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 3 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today reported August sales of 32,376 versus last year's total of 34,810, a seven percent decrease.

Year to date, Volkswagen's sales are 204,008 compared to 2002 sales of 236,929.
