Frankfurt Show report part I

Preparations are going ahead full speed at the Frankfurt Messe venue. Speakers practice their speeches, dancers fine-tune their moves and cars are being rolled to their final locations. We give you a sample of what's going on, including a picture on the still-secret Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

When our team strolled around the Frankfurt Exhibition Halls we stumbled into a group of workers who were busy pushing a suspiciously low-built Alfa Romeo. It turned out to be the 8C Competizione, which will be unveiled tomorrow.

Both Mercedes-Benz and the Volkswagen group forbade entry to their space, but we spotted a new Golf at the Blaupunkt exhibition space.

There are many new cars still under wraps. A very tightly packed car is the Lada Revolution first exhibited at the recent Moscow Autoshow.

There will be many interesting low-volume producers at the Show, like the Smart-based Jetcar, the Slovakian K1 Attack and the Bufori from Malaysia.

It seems even car executives supervise their exhibition space as we saw Giancarlo Boschetti, CEO of Fiat checking out the scene.
