Tomorrow's Automotive Interior Designers Honoured at the Inaugural Interior Motives Student Design Awards

The Winners of the Interior Motives: Student Design Awards 2003 Were Announced Last Night, Amongst Much Celebration and Excitement.

FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 10 -- Over 300 people attended the awards ceremony at the King Kamehemeha Club, Frankfurt's best-known jazz club, to view work exhibited from the 18 talented finalists. "We are delighted with the support that we have received from the car design industry, it has really rallied behind this competition which has been created specifically to celebrate student excellence in automotive interior design," said Ryan Borroff, editor of Interior Motives magazine. "There was a true global spread of entries from students at colleges as diverse as Seoul University of Technology, Korea; The Academy of Art College, San Francisco; College of Creative Studies, Detroit; and Universite de Montreal, Canada -- as well as colleges from Europe -- all figuring on the shortlist. Some colleges have even absorbed the competition into their syllabus. The standard of work was impressive and the judging panel had their work cut out for them."
