NASCAR DRIVER KYLE PETTY TO KICK OFF SEASON-ENDING MOTORCYCLE TRIP FOR CHARITY IN MIAMI

< Key Lime Ride II to raise money for Victory Junction Gang Camp (November 11, 2003 - Charlotte, N.C.) - NASCAR driver Kyle Petty will once again trade in four wheels for two to raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Following Sunday's Winston Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Petty will lead a group of motorcycle enthusiasts through the state of Florida as part of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride's Key Lime Ride II. The ride will kick off on November 17 at the track and travel south, making overnight stops in Key West, Naples and Amelia Island. The Key Lime Ride II will conclude on November 19. This is the second year the Kyle Petty Charity Ride has organized the season-ending event. "The Key Lime Ride is a cool way to cap off the season while raising awareness for Victory Junction," said Petty. "The camp is starting to take shape, with virtually every building under construction. We're hoping to make this ride an annual event and another key fundraiser for the camp." The motorcycle trek benefits the Victory Junction Gang Camp, the national charity of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. Kyle and Pattie Petty founded the camp in 2000 in memory of their son Adam, who was tragically killed in a racing accident. Victory Junction will be a year-round, multi-disease camp, serving children between the ages of seven and fifteen with life-threatening illnesses. When complete, Victory Junction's 75-acre site will have more than 36 buildings, including a dining hall, gym, pool, theater, therapeutic equestrian center, arts and crafts center, race shop and 16 camper cabins. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is scheduled to open in the summer of 2004 and will be free to children and their families.
