Budget and MADD Join Forces to Promote Safe Holiday Driving

Customers can save up to 10% on large vehicle car rentals now through January 1, 2004

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Nov. 24 -- As the holiday season draws near, the reliance on larger vehicles to get everyone home for the holidays and to safely transport visiting friends and family around town increases exponentially. Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. today announced that it will promote safe driving and carpooling throughout the season in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving's (MADD) 17th annual "Tie One On For Safety" public awareness campaign.

Now through January 1, 2004 at participating locations, Budget will feature a "MADD promotion" on larger-sized vehicles -- minivans, SUVs, luxury and premium vehicles. Customers will receive up to a ten percent discount on weekly rentals and five percent on daily and weekend rentals for every rental booked under Budget Customer Discount number (BCD) U010737. MADD will also receive a $1 donation from each of these rentals.

In addition, Budget is also promoting the purchase of a MADD Safe Party Pack through its Web site, signage at the rental counter and in rental vehicles. The party pack features tips for hosting a great party, mocktail (non-alcoholic drink) recipes, red ribbons, coasters, and a $15 coupon toward a future Budget weekly rental, and is available by giving $15 or more to MADD at www.budget.com/madd. All proceeds from the purchase will benefit MADD.
