Two Baby Boomers Ending Their Cross-Country Trek to Change the
Dictionary Definition of Baby Boomer Available for Interviews
WHAT: A national drive to change the dictionary definition of baby
boomer. Claiming that the current dictionary definition does not
accurately reflect the youthful attitude of today's baby boomers,
two baby boomers set out on an 11-city, one-month long, cross-
country drive to gather signatures on a petition to change the
dictionary definition of baby boomer. They collected more than
12,000 petitions and will be presenting them to Merriam-Webster's
Dictionary in Boston.
WHO: Louis & Mariann Mawcinitt, of Los Angeles, are the two baby boomers
who drove the Kia Amanti cross country. This tour was the car's
national debut.
