Children's Books, Games Add Fun to Holiday Travel, AAA Says

ORLANDO, Fla.--Dec. 8, 2003--Planning holiday travel can be stressful for parents. Which side of the family do you visit first? And how do you keep the kids from asking "Are we there yet?"

AAA can't tell you who to visit, but they can help keep your kids busy while traveling with fun and educational books, games and toys:

-- "Are We There Yet?" Travel Games ($12.95 US), winner of 15 National and International awards, can help make sure you never hear that question again. Time and distance pass more quickly as each player tries to spot the most items appearing on their travel cards before reaching their destination.

-- Two new books, "Here, There, and Everywhere" and "Wheels, Wings, and Other Things" ($4.99 US each) are age-specific coloring books with games and puzzles designed to entertain and educate for hours.

-- Games, such as backgammon and Hangin' Harry hangman ($4.99 US each), as well as a Value Pack Trivia game ($12.99 US) featuring four other games, and a handheld electronic "256 Games in 1" by Toys R Us will keep everyone in the car busy.

-- Playing cards focusing on National Parks, state facts, geography and world facts will educate and challenge the youngest of card players (from $4.99 to $6.99 US each)

Each of these travel products is available at participating AAA club offices or online at aaa.com/barnesandnoble.
