Ford Anticipates New Vehicle Will Join The Mustang and Thunderbird As An American Icon 2005 Mustang and 2005 GT Supercar Also Revealed
January 2004 (Newstream) -- Ford Motor Company unveiled its hotly anticipated, highly classified new prototype show car - codenamed "Daisy" - at the North American Auto Show in Detroit on Sunday, January 4 at 5:00 pm MT. Ford anticipates Project Daisy will rival the status of the Mustang or the Thunderbird in American car culture.
Ford also unveiled the 2005 Mustang that combines an all-new, fully modern architecture with all the soul that Mustang is famous for. Mustang will remain the best performance car for under $20,000 and the most affordable 300-horsepower car made today. In its 40-year tenure as America's favorite muscle car, Mustang has appeared more than 300 times on the silver screen from "Goldfinger" to "Gone in 60 Seconds."
Also featured at the show, as Ford Motor Company highlights its performance vehicles is the all-new Ford GT. The GT, which hits showrooms later this year, represents the ultimate in pride, passion and speed.
