Sport Compact Only Night Offers Racers a Legal Alternative to City Streets

The past few weeks have brought news of several tragic auto accidents due to illegal street racing. This weekend, Phoenix-based DragRacing.com presents its biggest Sport Compact Only Night ever-a night of roaring engines, squealing tires, huge clouds of billowing smoke, today's hottest music, and the constant smell of burning rubber. Thousands of fans and hundreds of street racers will converge on Firebird Raceway on Saturday night to see and be seen, to race and be raced.

Local owners of modified domestic and import sport compact street cars (such as Hondas, Acuras, Nissans, Subarus, etc.) will have the opportunity to show off their tricked-out engines and extreme paint jobs while competing for cash and prizes. The police will also be on hand-to race, not to chase! Street racers will relish the thrill of racing against police cars, complete with lights flashing and sirens wailing. Non-racing activities include Valley DJs spinning hits all night long, a sexy calendar model search, a mesmerizing martial arts exhibition of dangerous acrobatic stunts and clashing swords, and much more.
