Save the World Air Inc. Announces Positive Initial Test Results for New Device

SAN DIEGO--May 11, 2004--Edward Masry, chairman and chief executive officer of Save The World Air Inc. (Pink Sheets: ZERO) today announced that preliminary testing on a new device showed significant reductions in hazardous emissions from a two-stroke engine.

The testing was done earlier this month at the company's facilities in Australia using a two-stroke 63cc generator engine. Each test produced roughly the same results, showing a modest increase in fuel efficiency, and dramatic reductions in the emission of noxious materials. Oxygen levels running through the fuel were virtually eliminated, producing a 72% reduction of Nox emissions, a 45% reduction of hydrocarbon emissions, and an 83% reduction of carbon monoxide emissions.

The new device would be a complementary product to the company's ZEFS device. Although the company has not conducted independent worldwide marketing and feasibility studies, the company believes that the worldwide market for this new device on two and four-stroke engines is significant. These engines are used on motorcycles, three-wheeled vehicles, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, generators and many off-road vehicles. Such engines differ from the carbureted and fuel injected engines that the ZEFS device aims to assist.

This device utilizes a technology that was acquired by the company in the first quarter of 2004. This technology is the subject of applications for patent protection. The company reserved patent rights in over 160 countries.

These tests were conducted by the company's internal research and development facility and the results have not been independently verified. Accordingly, the company plans to subject the device to EPA-certified testing conditions.

With respect to the initial positive test results, Masry said, "This represents a potential breakthrough technology, with a substantial worldwide market at our disposal. We look forward to replicating the positive results in an EPA-certified setting, and see this as being another great opportunity to bring value to our company."

Save The World Air Inc. was created to develop, manufacture and market devices using proprietary technologies that can be installed on motor vehicles to reduce harmful emissions, improve fuel efficiency and/or improve performance.
