Clean Energy Inc: Convert to Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines From Gasoline

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--Aug. 2, 20043, 2004--Clean Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CLER) has finalized the acquisition of an international exclusive license from HPA, LLC for a turnkey hydrogen delivery system for internal combustion engines.

The hydrogen system has been in development in the United States with two US patents issued in 1998 and 2000. The hydrogen is delivered into an existing internal combustion engine by an innovative hydrogen injector system. Compressed hydrogen is stored in proven government certified pressurized hydrogen storage tanks onboard the vehicle.

Clean Energy intends to complete, in the coming twenty-four month period, a market ready conversion system for a select group of pre-owned and new American vehicle models for use in business and government fleets.

Upon the completion of the market approved system, potential customers will be able to drive on clean burning hydrogen without the need to purchase fuel cell systems or replace their existing engines. Existing engines will be modified to operate using 100% hydrogen and air.

The company is seeking a practical approach for this decade to allow for the transition from high priced oil derived gasoline to clean burning hydrogen. A real solution can be achieved in the short term prior to the fuel cell vehicles of tomorrow becoming a reality.

The United States is leading the way with its Hydrogen Highway strategy in California with several hydrogen fueling stations operating today and two hundred more planned to be built prior to 2010. Our intention is to target fleets for conversion to our hydrogen injector systems in locations where hydrogen stations already exist, or are in the planning and construction stages.

Consumers are demanding a hydrogen alternative today. Clean Energy, Inc. is taking its first steps in meeting this challenge.

Clean Energy, Inc., a Nevada corporation, is a development stage company formed in 1998 to commercialize innovative technologies in the renewable energy industry. Our business focus is clean pollution-free electricity and hydrogen from innovative alternative energy sources. Our goals are to acquire technology rights and licenses from patent holders and others, secure market presence, and raise sufficient capital to build, own and operate electrical and hydrogen generating facilities and applications throughout the world.
