LADSON, S.C.--Nov. 1, 20040, 2004--Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP), the leading U.S. manufacturer of mine and blast protected vehicles for military and security personnel, today announced delivery of four Buffalo blast protected and mine clearance vehicles to the U.S. Army, bringing the total to 17.

"We are pleased that the rate of production of these vehicles continues to increase," said Gale Aguilar, CEO. "We know Force Protection's vehicles are critically needed to protect our troops and save lives."

The Buffalo has multiple mission configurations and is designed to be repaired quickly in the field. The advanced technology of the Buffalo protects it against multiple anti-tank mines as well as smaller anti-personnel mines, and vehicles have already been deployed with the Army Corps of Engineer units in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"Modern warfare is changing and our armed services require vehicles that have been designed and built specifically to provide protection against the threats of landmines and IEDs," Aguilar said. "We are proud to meet this need for our troops."

According to Brian Green, Program Manager for Close Combat Systems, Mine Division, at Fort Belvoir, "Force Protection provides the centerpiece vehicle in the new approach to rapidly clearing mines and other explosives. The Buffalo is the best mine protected vehicle in the world."
