Its Love Baby LOVE!

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 10, 2005 -- Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, today announced its recommendations for the Top 10 Cars To Drive if You Don't Have a Date on Valentine's Day. CLICK for thhe full story

"While others might turn to chocolate for consolation when facing a dateless Valentine's Day, the editors at Edmunds naturally turn to their favorite comfort-cars," said Karl Brauer, Edmunds.com Editor in Chief. "The list we came up with includes cars that can attract dates as well as cars that are so much fun to drive, those of us with Valentines might even forego a date to drive a few of them."

   The top 10 vehicles are:

   1. Chevrolet Corvette: There's nothing like good old American muscle
(six liters' worth) wrapped in a classic body. Find an empty back
road with a few curves along the way, and the driver's latest
heartbreaker will be a distant memory.

   2. Dodge Ram SRT-10: If someone's goal is to woo a truck lover, he or
she would be hard-pressed to find better bait than the SRT-10. Mat
the throttle in this 500-horse pickup and it jets forth like it's
been shot out of a catapult, shoving the driver back in its cushy
       sport seats.

   3. Ferrari F430: It's the sensual sounds and intuitive steering that
really pull at the heart strings. It may not cuddle in front of a
fire, but it has mastered the art of communication and definitely
makes for a perfect dance partner.

   4. Ford Mustang Convertible: The new Mustang will still get its driver
plenty of looks from potential dates, especially if a topless version
in bright yellow. And with its reasonable price, the driver can save
up for his or her next relationship with a real human being.

   5. Lotus Elise: Drive a racecar or go on a date? For a few of our
editors, that's not even a choice. The Elise is about the closest
someone can get to driving an open-wheel car on public roads.

   6. Mazda Miata: Miata drivers show others they're spontaneous and
adventurous as they veer onto all the two-lane roads.

   7. Mazda RX-8: Its expert chassis tuning makes the car feel like an
extension of the drivers' body and its free-revving rotary engine and
its unique sound can replace all other thoughts of past loves.

   8. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG: Trying to drive away thoughts of an ex?
       Along comes a roadster with a 604-horsepower twin-turbo V12 and
handling so predictable that drivers can carve up an unfamiliar back
       road with virtually no guesswork.

   9. Mini Cooper Convertible: Like the Mustang, the Cooper drop top is a
good choice to show prospective dates the driver's on the cutting
edge. But forget about other people for the moment. Who wouldn't
want to drive a sweet-faced car with adroit reflexes on Valentine's
       Day?

   10. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution:  The Evo may not win others' affection;
however, once someone sits in its Recaro driver seat, he or she
probably won't care. The fervor with which the turbo four revs will
take the place of any beating heart, and the razor-sharp handling
       will set anyone's pulse racing.
