Automotive News to Recognize Top Female Talent With 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry

DETROIT, March 9 -- Automotive News is accepting nominations for its list of 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry through Monday, April 4. Nominees can own or be employed by automakers, suppliers, dealerships and allied businesses working in executive management, manufacturing, engineering, design, marketing, human resources and communications. The award honors women who are leaders in the automotive field -- those who make major decisions and have significant influence on their companies.

Automotive News will salute the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry with a special issue published Sept. 26 featuring a career biography and photograph of each recipient. Winners will also be celebrated at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on Sept. 28 at the Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit.

2005 marks the second time Automotive News is recognizing the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry. The publication's first listing of the industry's top female executives was published in September 2000.
