Hafei Saibao goes on sale in China

Harbin Hafei officially started sales of its new Saiabo in China last week.

Saibao (translates to Competing Leopard) was previewed last summer at the Beijing Autoshow.

It is a Pininfarina-designed sedan, the first member of a new lineup. According to insider information this Saibao and different looking Saibao prototype which was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Autoshow rides on the same 2600 mm platform.

The China-market Saibao is 4.4-meter long, 1.7-meter wide and 1.47-meter high.

It is powered by licence-built 1.6- and 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Mitsubishi petrol engines.

Standard equipment includes ABS with EBD, electric windows, parking assistant, satellite navigation and Bluetooth capability.
