Motor Muster Celebrates 50 Years of the Ford Thunderbird at Greenfield Village

World Class Cars Roll into the Village Father's Day Weekend June 18 - 19

DEARBORN, Mich., May 17 -- Give Dad an unforgettable gift this Father's Day -- a trip to Greenfield Village for Motor Muster. From classic cars and trucks to motorcycles and bicycles, Motor Muster brings the best of the American road to Greenfield Village June 18 - 19. The show is free with Village admission. Greenfield Village is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $20 adults, $19 seniors, $14 children. Children under 5 and members are free. Nearly 600 classic cars will fill the Village. This year the show celebrates 50 years of the Ford Thunderbird, more than 30 Ford Thunderbirds ranging from 1955 to 1976 will be on display. Visitors are also invited to participate in special events all weekend long. Including:

Parade of Cars: One fantastic vehicle after another takes their turn in the spotlight. Hear the engines roar as the classic cars of Motor Muster cruise through Greenfield Village.

  Saturday - 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  Sunday - 1 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.

Thunderbird Parade: In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the legendary Ford Thunderbird each car will cruise by the grandstand allowing us to fall in love with this American classic again and again.

Saturday & Sunday - 11:00 a.m.

Junior Drivers Ed: Kids get their chance to get behind the wheel of a classic car, the pedal version.

  Near the Roundhouse - All Day

  Bombs and Fins: American Automobile Design in the 1950s Lecture

Noted GM designer William Porter will talk about the radical changes in the look of the American automobile that shook up the conservative decade of the 1950s.
