Plexus Systems President Named Among Top 100 Women in Auto Industry

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 26 -- Plexus Systems President Jane L. Warner has been named to the elite list of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry by Automotive News, an automotive industry publication.

"We are very proud to have Jane recognized for her outstanding contributions to the auto industry and Plexus Systems," said Rob Beatty, chairman and founder of Plexus Systems. "She has tremendous leadership skills and a remarkable understanding of the industry."

The 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry recognizes women who are leaders in the automotive field -- those who make major decisions and have significant influence at their companies. Automotive News published its first listing of the industry's top female executives in September 2000. Warner also was named to that list.

Warner joined Plexus Systems in 2004. She was previously president of the EDS Manufacturing Global Industry Group. Prior to that she held numerous senior management positions at Textron Inc., including president of Kautex Textron North America where she managed plants in Canada, the United States and Mexico and executive vice president of Textron Automotive and president of Randall Textron.

Before coming to Textron, Warner worked at General Motors Corporation for 20 years in a variety of management positions in manufacturing, engineering and quality.

She is a board member of the NYSE listed companies MeadWestvaco and Tenneco Automotive Corporations where she sits on the Audit and Compensation committees, respectively. In addition to her NYSE board seats, Warner is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Kettering University; a board member of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), and an advisor to the Inforum Center for Leadership (formerly the Women's Leadership Forum), a teaching/charitable organization affiliated with Inforum (formerly the Women's Economic Club of Detroit), Women's Economic Club Center for Women's Leadership.

Warner also is a Sloan Fellow and has a Master of Science degree in management from Stanford University and a Master of Arts degree in education and a Bachelor of Arts in business from Michigan State University.

Warner and her co-honorees were featured in a special Sept. 26 issue of the publication and will be honored at a gala dinner in Detroit, sponsored by Automotive News on September 28. A portion of the proceeds from that event go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The 2005 class of Automotive News' 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry emerged from a months-long nomination and judging process that attracted hundreds of entries from the United States, Canada and Mexico. The women are engaged in all aspects of the industry.
