Two Johnson Controls Executives Honored as Top Female Leaders in the Automotive Industry

Automotive News Recognizes 100 Leading Women in North America

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Sept. 27 -- Two Johnson Controls Vice Presidents, Susan Kampe and Carolyn Woznicki, were recognized on Automotive News' list of 100 Leading Women in the North American automotive industry.

A special September 26 edition of the publication includes the complete list and profiles of 100 leading women in the auto industry, including Kampe and Woznicki. The winners will also be honored at an event with automotive industry officials on Wednesday, September 28 at the Detroit Marriott hotel in the Renaissance Center.

Susan Kampe serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Global Information Technology for the Automotive Group. In this position, she has overall responsibility for all Information Technology (IT) operations. Kampe joined the company in 2002.

Kampe earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Operations / Materials and Procurement Management, both from Bowling Green University. She currently sits on the Board of Visitors at Oakland University's School of Business Administration.

Carolyn Woznicki serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Purchasing for the Automotive Group. In this position, she is responsible for leading the company's purchasing activities in North America. Woznicki joined Johnson Controls in 1998.

She earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University). She currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Brazeway Inc. and the Kettering University Crash Safety Industrial Advisory Board.
